The thought that some players would have to endure those "experiences" more than once apparently did not occur to the devs. *shudder* That becomes rather painful very quickly - if you save scum. And each and every time those sequences play, the camera and the entire interface are on complete lockdown. The big deterrent from save scumming is something else entirely: all those mini cut scenes and cinematic animations and the inane blabber from Central and such - all of which will be mercilessly repeated. ![]() ![]() Just don't try the exact same thing twice and you'll do well. And I'm not talking about the results of rolls being saved ahead of time so the RNG cannot be gamed. Haven't saved in a few minutes, save now! While the game facilitates this - moreso than its predecessor (if memory serves) - it still does actively resist it. But that also means I did not play the game as it was intended to be played, doesn't it? I played XCOM 2 like Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun instead. I'll go first: I would not find the game enjoyable without save scumming.
